As a company Active Recovery hopes to bring a new standard of physical therapy care to Hattiesburg while also pushing to elevate the status of physical therapy in Mississippi. Our vision is to provide high quality physical therapy treatment by creating an environment of active recovery and expertise through high level training. Our goals are focused on improving every person’s quality of life and will be accomplished through a partnership of patients and providers through therapeutic alliance. We separate ourselves from other providers through the compassionate care delivered from certified specialists in a given field be it orthopaedics, neurological, geriatric, or sports. Our PTAs, while unable to currently receive a specialist status, will complete training under the guidance of Stephen Worrel to elevate their ability to provide high quality care. Active Recovery will be located in mid-town Hattiesburg due to its convenience and access from both east and west. Through the use of Hardy Street, people will also be able to use the I-59 and Highway 49 to access our clinic. Mid-town also provides convenience to USM students, as in many cases is an easy walk from class. Hardy Street is known to have over 40,000 cars pass through daily. Its accessibility will provide more people the opportunity to receive the highest quality physical therapy in Hattiesburg.
