Alpine Farms is a family-owned equestrian center located in horse country. It has indoor and outdoor arenas and a location across from the Morris T. Baker Park Reserve, where there's a nine-mile horse trail. Alpine Farms offers riding lessons and training in show jumping, dressage and hunter, and hosts hunter/jumper events, dressage shows, clinician events and Breakfast with the Hounds. Red Coat Farm is a great place to be if you like being out in the country and like being around horses. Branscomb Farms is a fully-equipped stable and seventy-four acre horse ranch that buys, sells, breeds and shows horses. The staff is experienced in training young horses for hunting, jumping and dressage activities. The ranch is not open to the public so call or click on its Web site for an appointment.
Saddle up at Larkspur Farm, a full-service 36-horse facility situated on 151 acres in Wilton. Larkspur provides year-round lessons as well as boarding, show grounds and summer camps for children. Horses and ponies are also available for sale or lease.
Ridgefield Arena teaches riding and reining lessons. Intructors are knowledgeable and have been successful in horse shows both regionally and nationally. Lessons, clinics and summer camps are held here.
