The Katie & Irwin Kahn Jewish Community Center is an impressive building that sits just off of Flora Drive, with a large sculpture and fountain in front. It offers various membership plans for families, couples, singles and seniors. The center features a fitness center with more than 50,000 square feet of exercise space, cardio equipment with TVs, an indoor track, a full basketball court, as well as personal training, yoga, cycling, aerobics, Pilates and much more. The center’s aquatic area features an indoor heated pool with lessons for all ages, as well as water aerobics, UVA lighting and aquatic personal training. Other amenities include a conference center with a catering kitchen, a locker room, steam rooms, free Wi-Fi, free babysitting, trips, seminars, senior programs, youth programs, a playground and more.
Spring Valley Country Club is a family oriented club located on Spring Valley Road, just off of Two Notch Road. The club is privately owned by its members. It offers a 25,000-square-foot facility for social events of up to 600 people, with a ballroom, dining room, outdoor patio and much more. It also has a 150-acre, 18-hole golf course. Spring Valley Country Club also has six clay tennis courts, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a small restaurant with weekly dining options, catering and more.
Plex Indoor Sports is located inside the Village at Sandhill. It is easily recognizable due to its large size and the large sports balls located on the sidewalk. Plex is a climate-controlled indoor sports facility. It offers an indoor soccer complex with leagues of all ages; adult flag football leagues; basketball courts; lacrosse for high school-age boys and girls, volleyball leagues and clinics; a skate park and much more. Plex also offers summer camps, clinics, after school programs, youth instruction and hosts birthday parties.
All Star Gymnastics teaches gymnastics to children from levels three to 10. It has a team that competes, including all levels. All Star has day camps, open gym nights and child care one night a week for parents' night out. There are five experienced instructors to guide your child safely through their gymnastics instructions.
Harbison Recreation Center offers athletics, aquatic and senior activities. Programs include performance modeling, summer day camp, zumbo, aikido, tae kwon do, kenpo and karate. Harbison Recreation Center also rents out rooms.
