This is a complimentary fitness facility for Hyatt Regency guests. For all others, it is strictly a personal training facility, where clients need to purchase a certain number of personal training packages to work out with a trainer. There is a good selection of cardio equipment, free weights and a pool.
Kamp Pendleton Personal Training is owned by trainer Daryl Pendleton. Pendleton offers training focused on toning, weight loss, conditioning and cardio. Clients have access to a variety of strength and cardio equipment in Pendleton's private gym in South Reston. There are also special programs for young athletes, as well as group training and a boot camp.
Ravel Dance Studio and Boutique is a professional dance studio that helps introduce young children to the basic fundamentals of dance instruction. The boutique offers a wide variety of classes with an extensive schedule that allows their students plenty of choices, along with the opportunity to learn several dance disciplines.
John Chung Tae Kwon Do offers beginning to master tae kwon do classes in two locations, in Reston and in Landsdowne, near Ashburn. Owner John Chung is a member of the Blackbelt Hall of Fame. There are classes for everyone, from age 4 and up. The institute focuses on learning while working out and having fun.
Pure Joe Pilates is a studio where clients can practice this form of exercise, which concentrates on building core muscles, strengthening and toning by using Pilates equipment and mat training. Instructors at Pure Joe are certified Pilates teachers. Teachers are available for group, individual and duet instruction. There are a variety of rate plans, including a special for new customers.
Reston Youth Club has as Youth Summer Basketball League for girls and boys ages 5 to 18 years old. The league encompasses many different skill levels, from instructional (ages 5 to 9), and 5 other age divisions up to 18 years old.
The season runs for approximately 6 to 7 weeks during the Summer. All games are played in Reston at several locations including Southgate Community Center and South Lakes High School.
There are playoff and championship games, as well as an all-star game and picnic.

Bikram Yoga is Reston's only yoga studio dedicated to this form of practice founded by Bikram Choudhury. Bikram is a series of 26 poses practiced in a room heated to 110 degrees. This enables students to gain maximum therapeutic effects and flexibility. Classes, which welcome students of all levels, are 90 minutes long and are held seven days a week.
The Lake Newport Tennis Courts are one of Reston Association's many tennis facilities. The courts are lighted for late-night play. Membership in Reston Association is required, although those who do not live in Reston can purchase seasonal passes to use the facilities. The association often offers tennis classes and workshops, individual and group lessons and tournaments at the tennis courts.
The Reston Community Center (RCC) is a popular spot for athletic, cultural and community events. RCC offers more than 1,800 programs, for infants through senior citizens, and helps contribute to Reston's close community spirit. RCC is home to athletic facilities, including the newly refurbished indoor pool, and a wide variety of performing arts at the facility's CenterStage Theatre.
