Bayfront Medical Plaza Same Day Surgery has a freestanding, outpatient surgery center located on the hospital campus. Medical technology includes a computer navigation system to assist surgeons, "4-D mammotone" for breast biopsies and less-invasive lasers and laparoscopy procedures. Same-day procedures cover sports medicine, orthopedics, plastic surgery, pain management and surgeries to correct infertility.
Columbia Center for Special Surgery, located off of Route 275, serves the surgery needs of Old Northeast. Columbia Center differentiates itself from a normal hospital in that it specializes in outpatient surgery. It is a less costly alternative to a hospital, and is staffed with professionals who are highly educated and care about patient care.
