Both Kathy and Fred are deeply committed to Santa Barbara and the waterfront community with years of experience on or near boats, including Santa Barbaras original, boat, Lil Toot. Captain Fred holds a 100-ton, near coastal Masters license and has over 40 years of experience in both pleasure and commercial vessels. Capt. Fred was also in the U.S. Coast Guard and is a decorated veteran from the Vietnam War. Captain Fred started Santa Barbara Water Taxi, LLC in 2003 and has accommodated over 300,000 passengers over the past 11+ years. Kathy Hershman has been an integral part of the success of Celebration Cruises utilizing her skills in management and organization to keep the business running smoothly.
